fantastic access to york's city walls and local restaurants
I stayed here last summer and appreciated how easy it was to stroll over to the York City Walls right across the road. Dining options like the Garden of India just a few steps away made our evenings delightful.

Charming, Charming, Charming
I loved the underfloor heating in our cozy room. waking up to warm floors is a game-changer! Plus, the direct access to a beautiful beer garden by the river was the perfect spot for evening chats and a drink. Don't even get me started on the fantastic home-cooked meals—getting a chance to taste local flavors made our stay extra special!

We had a lovely time enjoying the homemade steak pie and the cozy atmosphere. The outdoor seating by the river was a perfect spot to relax after our meal, and we also loved the spacious garden area. The only small hiccup was that the room got a bit too warm at night, but overall, it didn't stop us from having a wonderful stay! 😊

Charming atmosphere and friendly service
My partner and I enjoyed a lovely one-night stay. The warm atmosphere with oak beams and cozy fireplace made us feel right at home. Our double room was tidy and had all the essentials, including a good selection of tea and coffee. Plus, the location was perfect—just a short stroll to the attractions in York. It would be great if they offered a breakfast option to enhance the experience.

Had an awesome weekend here with friends! The location was perfect for our visit to the local attractions, and the outdoor space was great for hanging out. Our room was spacious with a comfy bed and plenty of tea and coffee. Took a break from the city to enjoy the nearby cafes and discovered a fantastic pub with hearty food. Totally worth it!
Only downside was the lack of breakfast options. After our stay, we realized it would have been nice to have a convenient breakfast without having to venture out first thing.

The hospitality was commendable, especially from staff members who made every effort to ensure a warm welcome. Enjoyed a vast selection of beers at reasonable prices, and the food truly stood out—with many traditional home-cooked options. our room felt cramped, requiring careful movement to avoid bumping into the furniture, and while the shower worked fine, the water pressure could be improved. some front-of-house engagement from management would enhance the overall experience.

The Masons Arms offered a cozy and warm atmosphere, perfect for our stay. The check-in process was smooth, thanks to friendly staff. The room, while small, was immaculate and had a comfortable bed. I appreciated the generous supply of tea, coffee, and biscuits. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the city center. Dining in the pub was a highlight. the portions were large and the food delicious. I especially enjoyed the lamb shank. the parking area was quite tight, making it a challenge to maneuver. The bathroom amenities were a bit outdated, and I found the shower pressure to be on the lower side. having no breakfast options available was a bit inconvenient, but Wetherspoons across the road provided a solid alternative for a morning meal.
